#100 - So Long, Mandy…
It is with some regret and mostly sadness that I have decided to end my little comic, The Pursuit of Mandy. I thought it would be nice to bow out on my 100th strip in a classy, heartfelt way and I think I acchieved that. It’s not the ultimate end of Mandy and her friends, but it is an ending for the present I know.
Why am I packing in the strip? Oh god…you don’t have the time. But I can tell you that this strip has become more and more a strip about me in the past, and I am not that person anymore. I simply am not the voice behind this strip and I need to be for it to be worth my time, my Panel Mammal’s time and the readers time.
I need to take a break, but when I come back it won’t be to this strip. When I come back it will be with something I can live and write with naturally. Anyone who knows me can tell you I only occasionally show up in Mandy…well that just couldn’t go on that way anymore, so I am bring it to the ineviatble end.
If I ever find a voice for these 4 again, you will be the first to know. But until then, look forward to me coming back strong with pencils blazing.
I really enjoyed my decade with these characters…I hope you were able to find some happiness with them also.
See you on rebound…
